Wind Expected as Cause of MD Vacant Building Collapse

According to a report from WBFF, high winds are the expected cause of the collapse of a vacant building in the Upton neighborhood of west Baltimore, Maryland Tuesday night.

Baltimore City Fire Spokesperson Roman Clark said the collpase occurred in the 700 block of W. Lanvale Street. No injuries have been reported from the incident.

Although wind is the expected reason for the collapse , there is no confirmation of what actually caused the building to fall.

According to an official city database, Baltimore has more than 14,000 privately-owned vacant buildings.
