Toronto Firefighter Issues Mayday at Huge Storage Facility Fire

A firefighter issued a Mayday after falling through the third floor while operating at a huge storage facility fire in Toronto, Canada.

CTV Toronto reported (http://bit.ly/xojpYJ) that the firefighter escaped the incident without injury and was cleared from the building without further incident. He was taken to an area hospital as a precaution.

Firefighters battled the massive fire over the course of the day yesterday. The four-alarm fire eventually went to five, and flames erupted through the building’s roof late Monday.

Firefighters reportedly had difficulty maneuvering through the high-security storage facility and encountered “deep seated burning of debris” inside the structure.

Video from the scene is available at http://bit.ly/xojpYJ.
