A small vintage plane crashed into the Hudson River Friday, and fire photographer Ron Jeffers had some photos from the incident scene.

According to the Associated Press, the single-seat World War II-era plane crashed into the river between New York and New Jersey near where the 2009 Miracle on the Hudson landing took place. A body was recovered from the small plane’s sunken wreckage.

Jeffers captured some shots of firefighters responding to the scene from the Jersey side, in North Bergen, which is part of North Hudson Regional (NJ) Fire & Rescue. Units set up at Roc Harbor in North Bergen, with North Hudson rescue assignment. North Hudson Marine 2 responded, along with FDNY Marine 1 Alpha. Ambulances that were there came from North Bergen, Edgewater, and Jersey City Medical Center. New Jersey boats included North Hudson, Jersey City, Edgewater, New Jersey State Police, and New Jersey Palisades Parkway Police.
