At 12:26 a.m. on March 21, 2016, firefighters with the city of Los Angeles (CA) Fire Department responded to reports of a pursuit crash on Normandie Avenue & Melrose Avenue.

Los Angeles Police Department Hollywood Division was in pursuit of a vehicle that turned out to be robbery suspects, with the pursuit terminating in a four-vehicle crash. One victim became trapped, requiring extrication.

The victim was extricated after approximately 30 minutes, and was transported with one other victim in unknown condition to a local hospital. Two suspects where still outstanding but were later apprehended.
