E-ONE Acquires Rhino from Crash Rescue

E-ONE acquired the patented Rhino multi-position, high performance bumper turret from Crash Rescue Equipment Services, Inc. Rhino is the preferred bumper turret for Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) crash trucks with more than 250 sold in the past 10 years.

“This acquisition allows us to invest in trusted technology and a proven product that will broaden our support for the fire rescue industry,” said Peter Guile, CEO of E-ONE. “Adding the Rhino will allow E-ONE to meet the unique needs of the aviation fire safety industry while also furthering our mission of producing innovative vehicles for the first responder community.”

The Rhino combines the dual flow rate of conventional primary turrets with the ability to lower its vertical position providing extinguishment characteristics to gain control of the fire. This technique has been proven in comprehensive independent testing, to be a more effective approach to fire fighting than the conventional roof turret, utilizing up to 40% less agent.

The Rhino will be available in two configurations: 375-750 GPM and 600-1200 GPM. E-ONE will stock parts, provide service and ensure a seamless transition from Crash Rescue for current Rhino customers. Rhino will continue to be available for sale, while being the standard solution for E-ONE ARFF trucks.
