The Mohegan Fire Company, Town of Montville, Uncasville, Connecticut, designed this RESCUE 1response unit primarily for vehicle extrication, air supply, lighting support and hazmat, explains Chief Steve Socha. The Yankton (SD) Rural Fire Protection District uses this DANKO tanker as a tender to haul water, as a brush truck on flat ground and light rolling hills, and as a backup structural engine if needed, explains Chief Thomas Kurt-enbach.
