The pumper is 88 inches high to allow the fire department to operate the apparatus inside garage parking lots which have restricted ceiling clearances. The major features of this stainless steel cab and body apparatus include an American LaFrance 2,000-gpm Twinflow two-stage custom pump; two-tone Imron custom red and white paint; full chrome cab fenders; 8V92TA Detroit Diesel engine; an Allison HT740 transmission; brushed stainless steel pump operator’s control panel; a 500-gallon, 10-gauge stainless steel water tank; bumper deck mounted Q2B siren; dual Grover 1501 air horns recessed into the cab front gravel shield; dual KWIK-RASE 12-volt 350,000 CP flood lights, one mounted on each side at the pump enclosure; Whelen Model 800-1 red strobe lights mounted on each front cab corner; full radius cab canopy handrail; Mansover safety rails at vestibule entrances; six-inch suction manifolds recessed into the pump operator’s control panel; and rear full width open compartment with rollers for two electric rewind booster reels.
