Two top San Francisco (CA) Fire Department officials have been suspended in connection with an alleged DUI crash involving an apparatus striking a motorist last year.
SFGate.com reported (http://bit.ly/1nFYTBJ) that the two assistant chiefs on duty the night of the June 29 crash, Art Kenney, 78, and David Franklin, 48, were notified by letter this week that they were suspended for 10 and eight days, respectively. The department’s reasons for suspending the two were not immediately known.

Kenney and Franklin came to the crash scene after a rig being driven by a firefighter collided with a motorcyclist at 11:33 p.m. The fire truck’s red lights and siren were on, but a report said the firefighter ran a red light without ensuring the intersection would be clear.
