TX Teenager Suffers Severe Shocks, Burns Climbing Utility Pole

According to a report from KVIA, a 14-year-old male suffered life-threatening injuries after being shocked and catching fire at an east El Paso, Texas, park Thursday night.

El Paso Fire Department officials said the teenager was trying to climb a utility pole at Dick Shinaut Park just before 8 p.m. when a friend threw a rock, striking one of the wires and shocking the victim, causing him to fall at least 30 feet to the ground.

A fire department spokesman said it happened at around 7:50 p.m.
