NATIONAL FIRE SERVICE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM,MODEL PROCEDURES GUIDE FOR STRUCTURAL FIREFIGHTING, a draft publication prepared by the National Fire Service Incident Management System Consortium Curriculum Committee, is now available from the International Association of Fire Chiefs. The guide is intended to aid in the development of a functional command organization for singleor multi-agency use. The guide reflects efforts to combine the fireground command and FIRESCOPES incident command systems. CAMEOTM software is an aid to chemical emergency planning and response from the National Safety Council. Available in IBMcompatible or Macintosh disks (S300 for government agencies, S840 for industry), the software provides a database of more than 4,000 chemicals, 60,000 synonyms, identification numbers, and labeling conventions, along with an information data sheet for each chemical. Twenty-one unique sets of 35-nun slides depicting world geologic hazards are available from the National Geophysical Data Center. Each set contains 20 slides in color and/or black and white along with background material, dates, locations, and descriptions of the effects of the depicted hazards. The Emergency Film Group announces the availability of its new HAZCHEM SERIES, nine videos designed to help trainees meet OSHA’s requirements for technician-level training under 1910.120. Two workers were killed and another seriously injured in an explosion Tuesday at a Delta Air Lines maintenance facility near the Atlanta airport.
