A volunteer fire chief collapsed and died at the scene of a house fire last night in in Brazoria County, Texas.
KTRK reports (http://bit.ly/1iceyHW) that Damon (TX) Fire Chief Hugh Ferguson, 52, was assisting and establishing water supply and was discovered by fellow firefighters.
CPR was started immediately, and he was transported by Life Flight to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No word yet on the cause of his death.
