Tesla Erupts in Flames on IL Highway

According to a report from FOX2NOW, a Tesla driving along Route 3 in Brooklyn, Illinois, erupted in flames early Monday morning.

Police received a call came at about 4:30 a.m. and discovered a man and woman near the scene near the Dawg Pound Gentlemen’s Club. The woman told police that the man had purchased bought the car within the past week.

The cause of the fire is unknown. However, earlier this month, Tesla recalled 130,000 vehicles for its U.S. model because of the touch screens potential to overheat and go blank.
