Rochelle Park, NJ (April 16, 2024) – Clarion Events Fire & Rescue Group is pleased to announce the addition of Stephanie White as Managing Editor of Firefighter Nation. In her new role, White will serve as a subject matter expert, working on content development and author recruitment while playing an integral role in the brands’ strategic direction.
Firefighter Nation, historically recognized as a hub for firefighter news and community, is set to undergo a complete redesign that will be launched in early June 2024. With a renewed focus on igniting firefighter wellness, the brand will feature content covering various aspects of firefighter life, including mental and physical health, personal and career development, grant navigation, and department recruitment. The brand will prioritize authentic content, capturing the essence of the fire service’s culture and fostering unity.
White brings a wealth of experience to the role, she is a 20-year veteran of the fire service and has spent the past 18 years as a firefighter/paramedic in the Fairfax County (VA) Fire and Rescue Department. Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in firefighter health and safety as a personal trainer, cancer awareness educator, and trained mental health peer.
“I’m looking forward to creating a space where firefighters can access information that will help their well-being during the different stages of their career,” said White. “From setting them up for success financially, injury prevention while they’re younger and older, to reading the mental health journeys that other firefighters have traveled – the goal is to create a community and resource that covers the issues outside of the tactics that Fire Engineering covers. I’m truly looking forward to finding ways to ensure that as firefighters start their job, and when it’s time to step away, they’re given the tools to succeed with the way their body and mind perform.”
