Simulator Visual System

Simulator Visual System

Features:

Easy to operate system, Pre-assembled,

Easy extension and knockdown,

Moving black smoke which turns to white steam with extinguishment,

Backdraft simulation,

Assorted colored smoke if desirable (i.e., chemical fires), Realistic moving flames. Operation:

Fire simulation is accomplished by transporting simulated fire and smoke on to 35mm slide image. Two overhead projectors are needed. One simulates the smoke and the other, the fire. A plastic transparent sheet with cotton attached is placed in front of the 33mm projector, which gives form to the black smoke. Extension or knockdown of the fire is accomplished by moving a special ashtype sand. Smoke is produced in

a similar fashion by removing sand and projected to a desired area of the image provided.

Basic Equipment:

2 Kodak 35mm projectors with remote control and hand focus

2 Short-throw lenses 4 Modified overhead projectors, each equipped with a variable speed motor with a reversing switch

4 Circular disks used for motion

4 Overhead projectors (2 for area maps and 2 for floor plans)

2 Clear Plexiglass sheets (for black smoke)

2 Platforms for fire 2 Platforms for smoke 4 Containers of sand 2 Portable screens (used in classrooms for floor plans) Needed brushes to displace sand
