On March 22, Rockland (MA) firefighters responded to a fire in a vacant warehouse that went to seven alarms.

Companies arriving on scene at the early-morning fire found the structure fully involved, according to a report from Pat Travers, who also shared images from the fireground.

Deck guns, big hand lines, and blitz guns were immediately put into operation as firefighters attempted to knock down the large volume of fire and protect exposures. Rockland Police mobilized quickly, and were able to evacuate upwards of 20 residences that were in danger of catching fire. Many houses on Webster Street suffered minor heat damage to siding, and some structures caught fire.

Numerous special calls went in through Plymouth County Control during the fire, and a Tier-1 Hazardous Materials Response was also requested because of air-quality issues in the area.
