Raging Fire Destroys Nine Vehicles in CA Carport

According to a report from ABC7, a massive fire that tore through a Hollywood, California, carport Wednesday night destroyed nine vehicles.

Los Angeles City Fire Department (LACFD) officials said crews were dispatched to the carport on Laurel Canyon near Hollywood Boulevard at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night. Officials also said the carport caught fire twice, with flames jumping to a nearby apartment.

Intense flames engulfed the cars as well as the structure, eventually reaching power lines above the carport.

This incident comes on the heels of another fire which erupted at another carport in West Hollywood Tuesday night, less than a mile away on Fountain Avenue, which burned three cars.

No injuries were reported in this incident, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
