R. I. Joint Council Formed
Six Rhode Island fire service associations have formed the Joint Council of Rhode Island Fire Service Organizations.
Based on the National Joint Council of Fire Service Organizations, the new group consists of the Rhode Island Fire Chiefs Association, Fire Communications Officers Association of Rhode Island, the Rhode Island Fire Safety Safety Association, Rhode Island Firefighters Instructors Association, Rhode Island State Firemen’s League and the Fire Chiefs Club of Rhode Island.
The chairmanship will be rotated among the organizations, with the Fire Communications Association of Rhode Island presiding in 1978.
