Photos: Firefighters Respond to Three-Alarm Mount Vernon (NY) Fire

On May 9, 2023, just after midnight, the Mt. Vernon (NY) Fire Department was dispatched to a reported fire in a three-story, class-3 mixed occupancy at 24 Mt. Vernon Ave. Upon arrival, a second alarm was transmitted for heavy fire in the rear of the building. Companies operated to protect exposures and keep the fire contained to the original fire building. Firefighters had tower ladders in operation and one ladder pipe.
