Photos: FDNY Firefighters Respond to Four-Alarm Brooklyn Fire

A four-alarm fire on Hewes Street, just east of the Brooklyn Queens Expressway in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, New York, burned out of control for nearly four hours Tuesday morning, February 21, 2023.

Fire Department of New York (FDNY) officials say the fire was reported just before 11:00 a.m. in a one-story commercial occupancy housing a lumber storage facility.

The fire quickly spread to an adjoining three-story building.

More than one hundred FDNY firefighters were on the scene to bring the fire under control.

There were no serious injuries reported.
