A massive, eight-alarm fire ripped through an apartment building in Jackson Heights, Queens, on Tuesday afternoon, April 6, 2021.

At least 20 people were hurt, including 15 firefighters, all with nonlife-threatening injuries.

The fire occurred in an apartment on the top floor of the six-story apartment house and quickly spread into the cockloft.

More than 200 residents were displaced from the 150-unit building.

Along with Queens fire companies, the blaze brought fire units from Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Manhattan and took more than 10 hours to bring under control.
