Paul Conway Fire is excited to announce the addition of Scott Huff to their team. Scott will serve as Sales Representative for Central Indiana.

Scott is an Indianapolis native and attended IVY Tech State College Indianapolis towards his Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Science. He is a 16-year career veteran of the Indianapolis Fire Department and has had the opportunity to serve in some of the busiest firehouses at IFD. He has also been able to serve with Special Operations Companies as a Rescue Technician and Trainer in High and Low Angle Rope Rescue, Heavy Extrication and Machinery, Trench Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Structural Collapse Rescue, Hazmat Technician, Swift Water and is a Dive Rescue Specialist.

Scott’s also been involved as Battalion Aid for Battalion 2, Dive Commander, Shift Training Officer, Special Operations Coordinator and is currently the Lieutenant of Special Operations Company Engine 7 on the A shift. He is the Lead Rescue Team Manager for Indiana Task Force 1 and has worked operations on several national deployments, as well as serving with several volunteer fire companies in the Indianapolis suburb area.

Scott is a Master Diver and Halls Diving Academy Graduate (Florida) in Dive Equipment Maintenance. He holds many Indiana State Technician Level Certifications from Firefighter I/II, Safety Officer, Special Operations Technician Courses to State Instructor II/III. He is also a Public Safety SCUBA Instructor and Dive Rescue Specialist Trainer in Ice Dive, Dry Suit and Swift Water/Ice.

“With Scott’s extensive background and knowledge of the industry, we are confident that he will provide Central Indiana with the highest level of customer service,” said Sales Director, Lee Kasten. “Being active with established conferences such as FDIC, serving as Safety Officer and assistant instructor in live burn courses, he has an extreme commitment to training and can truly speak to proper equipment and gear. He also teaches for numerous departments and conferences throughout the country such as Dive Rescue International and more.”

In conjunction with the fire service, Scott has worked in several roles within Public Safety and Homeland Security serving as an Executive Lieutenant for the Nashville (IN) Police Department, Deputy for Marion and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department and Reserve Patrolman for Speedway (IN) Police Department. With this background, he will also assist Paul Conway Shields Law Enforcement/Tactical division.
