PA Fire Chief Struck, Killed While Directing Traffic

The fire chief of the Loganville (PA) Fire Company was killed early Saturday while directing traffic at the scene of motor vehicle accident.

Chief Rodney Paul Miller, 45, was struck and killed on I-83 south around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, according to a report on ydr.com (http://bit.ly/Y63mS4).

The chief was directing traffic for a crash that occurred when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was arrested; according to police, he continued south on I-83 until he was forced to come to a stop because of stopped vehicles in the backlog of the prior crash.
