Orange County (CA) Firefighters Free Woman Trapped Between Buildings

According to a report from NBC4, Orange County (CA) Fire Authority (OCFA) firefighters took more than two hours to free a nude woman who became trapped between two buildings in Santa Ana Tuesday afternoon.

At just after 2 p.m., OCFA members were dispatched to 1020 N. Harbor Boulevard. OCFA Captain Thanh Nguyen said the unclothed woman at the scene somehow got stuck between two walls of adjacent commercial businesses.

Area workers heard cries for help for 20 to 30 minutes before realizing the woman’s whereabouts. A nearby auto repair shop near the location was noisy, making it more difficult to find where the calls for help were coming from, Nguyen said.

OCFA firefighters drilled a hole in one of the walls and thread a tiny camera through for a better view before attempting to make a cut on the wall, said Nguyen. Then, firefighters cut a square hole out of the wall, removing the woman just before 4:30 p.m.

The woman was transported to a local hospital, although her condition was not made available. However, she was alert and conscious, Nguyen said.
