OR Captain Saves Woman Trying to Jump from Building

From RegisterGuard.com:

Springfield (OR) — Eugene-Springfield (OR) Fire (ESF) Captain Chris Paskett saved a woman who was threatening to jump from a second-story window on 18th Street on Saturday, June 20.

Springfield Police responded to a call at 6:02 p.m. that a 40-year-old woman was threatening to jump from the window of an apartment complex on the 1900 block of 18th Street. She was partially hanging out the window, screaming when officers arrived.

A ladder truck from ESF arrived and the truck’s ladder was put underneath the window, Springfield Police said in a press release.

Paskett climbed the ladder to the woman, who yelled to get the ladder away. The woman put her feet on the ladder, as if she was going to try and push the ladder off the wall.
