According to a report from CBS13, Sacramento (CA) Metro Fire (SMF) discovered one person dead in a house fire in Carmichael Wednesday night along Rampart Drive, near the intersection of Winding Way and Manzanita Avenue.
SMF received a call for the incident just before 9 p.m.
No other injuries have been reported, but fire officials said two other people escaped the home to safety.
SMF crews contained the fire and prevented its spread.
SMF said an investigator is now looking at what may have started the fire and where it began.
