One Firefighter Injured After Fire Erupts in CT Home Under Construction



According to a report from NBC Connecticut, one member of the Bristol (CT) Fire Department (BFD) suffered a minor burn injury while responding to a fire in a home under construction early Thursday morning.

Fire officials said BFD crews were dispatched to the home on Lacava Road at around 3:30 a.m., arriving to find heavy fire coming from the structure.

After entering the home, crews were told to leave the interior and commence an exterior attack. BFD Chief Richard Hart said the firefighter’s injury was not serious, and he is expected to recover.

The home was being renovated and was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

The fire marshal is now investigating the caused of the fire.
