One Dead in WV House Fire

According to a report from WCHSTV, the Wilderness Fire Department in Mount Lookout, West Virginia, confirmed that one person died in a house fire in Nicholas County Monday afternoon.

The fire was first reported just before 1:30 p.m. on Deitz Road in Mount Lookout. The WFD arrived to find the home engulfed in flames.



The WFD has not released information about the deceased victim, and no other injuries have been reported.

The West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office is now conducting an investigation into the cause of the fire.
