Oklahoma City (OK) firefighters responded to a raging fire Tuesday evening in the 1100 Block of NW 63rd St.
According to the department’s social media account, the fire occurred in a hotel or an apartment building under construction. The structure was extremely large and contained a large amount of fire involving roofing materials. The rubberized roofing material is not easily extinguished with water. As of 8:21 p.m., some of the fifth floor became involved in fire, and firefighters employed large amounts of water from aerial master streams.

A portion of the building collapsed, but no injuries were reported.
According to KOCO.com, the fire continued more than a dozen hours later on into Wednesday, with crews still actively working as of 8:45 a.m. The fire went to five alarms, and crews reportedly used two million gallons of water on the fire. Authorities are concerned about continued collapses on scene.
