Ohio Firefighter Injured in Fall Through Floor at House Fire

A Liberty Township (OH) firefighter suffered a serious knee injury after falling through the second floor of a home while fighting a fire this weekend.

WLWT reported that the firefighter, Jon Meyer, was able to stop himself before falling entirely through the hole in the floor. Fellow firefighters helped him out.

“I had my elbows on the side of the hole, but my left foot also stayed up as my chest went up and my leg went through,” Meyer said. He continued battling flames, but was subsequently transported to the hospital.
