OH Fire Chief Dies After Contracting COVID-19

The fire chief Mary Ann Township Fire Department in Newark, Ohio, has passed away after contracting the coronavirus, according to the U.S. Fire Administration.

On Sunday, September 12, 2021, Fire Chief Randy Miner, 57, responded to an EMS call with a patient with a known case of COVID-19. He subsequently contracted the virus and passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021.
