O’Connor Named Chief
Deputy Chief Peter J. O’Connor, Jr. has been named chief of the Baltimore City Fire Department. A 26-year veteran of the department, O’Connor worked up the ranks to lieutenant in 1960, captain in 1964, battalion chief in 1970, battalion commander in 1977 and deputy chief in July 1979.
