A North Valley Stream (NY) home was severely damage by a raging fire Thursday afternoon, October 18.

The Elmont Fire Department responded to the two-story, Cape-style home at 68 Alden Avenue around 12:50 p.m. Companies found the rear of the house engulfed in flames. Several vehicles in the back of the home along with two storage sheds were also ablaze.

It took fire companies approximately forty minutes to bring the incident under control.

No serious injuries were reported.
