Nearly Two Dozen Families Displaced in GA Apartment Complex Fire



According to a report from 11Alive, officials in Marietta, Georgia, are now investigating the cause of a raging fire that tore through an apartment complex at around 11 a.m. Wednesday morning. 

The fire erupted at the East Cobb Apartments on Franklin Gateway, off I-75 and Delk Road. 

Marietta Fire Captain Steve Dau said 22 families were displaced in all. The fire also destroyed the 10 units that sat on one side of the building’s firewall and damaged another 10 on the other side. 

Fire officials said residents went door-to-door, alerting other occupants to evacuate as fire crews arrived. No one has been reported injured in the incident.
