McGrath Tapped as TIFMAS Assistant Chief

Terry McGrath, veteran of the the Lewisville (TX) Fire Department and longtime contributor to Fire Engineering, will step into the role of assistant chief at the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS).

In his most recent role as the assistant chief of operations in Lewisville, Terry oversaw fire department operations, the EMS division, training division, and fleet vehicle maintenance. He has previous served as TIFMAS North Brand Coordinator.

Terry holds a master’s degree in public administration from Texas Tech University and a bachelor of science in fire administration from Columbia Southern University.

“With a career spanning several decades, Terry has consistently demonstrated his dedication to safeguarding lives, property, and communities,” wrote TIFMAS Chief ESF4 Coordinator Gabe Mahlum in an e-mail announcement. “We are confident that Terry’s leadership and experience will greatly contribute to the success of the TIFMAS program and enhance our collaborative efforts with internal and external cooperators.”
