Rescue device literature
A new jump rescue device, the Life Cube, is designed to replace the man-held life net. It weighs 100 pounds and is easily transported and deployed by two people. It requires only 1 one-hour compressed air bottle for inflation. Inflation takes about 25 seconds, after which the device can be used for an unlimited number of jumpers.
The Life Cube is pictured and described in a four-page, color brochure. A timeline depicts the device’s usage: At 0 seconds it’s at transport to site of deployment; at 40 seconds, the device is ready for a second jumper. The literature also describes Life Cube’s construction and its special features and includes a summary of its advantages.

Foam generator fact sheet
The HazMat Vari-X Foamaker Generator is described in a new, illustrated data sheet from Mine Safety Appliances.
The generator is designed for use by hazmat teams, the fire service, and fire brigades. It’s lightweight and compact. After an initial attack with low-expansion foam, the Vari-X Foamaker can be used to apply a vapor-tight blanket of mediumor high-expansion foam.
The data sheet provides ordering information and complete specifications, including expansion ratios, water consumption rates, and optimum operating pressures.
