According to a report from ABC7, a 74-year-old man died from smoke inhalation after a fire erupted in his Queens, New York, home early Friday morning.
The fire started just after 3 a.m. on 18th Avenue in the Whitestone section of the borough.
Fire Department of New York crews said their tactics were slowed because of significant clutter inside the house.
The man was rushed to New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The cause of the fire is now being investigated. However, it is not considered suspicious.
