Companies Fight Fire in Madison Heights (MI) Restaurant

At around 1630 hours on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, the Madison Heights (MI) Fire Department responded to a reported fire at in a restaurant.

Upon arrival, companies reported smoke showing. Madison Heights requested mutual aid from Ferndale, Hazel Park, and Royal Oak. Crews reported heavy fire in the ventilation system and extending to the roof.

This fire was brought under control in approximately one hour using one tower ladder and several handlines. Madison Heights Engine 71, 72 Tower 71, 703, Royal Oak Truck 912, Ferndale Engine 4, and Hazel Park Engine 85 responded to this incident.

Two workers were killed and another seriously injured in an explosion Tuesday at a Delta Air Lines maintenance facility near the Atlanta airport.
