Three City of Los Angeles Firefighters Hurt in Major Emergency Fire at Fabric Firm

Fire photographer Rick McClure offered photo of City of Los Angeles (CA) Fire Department (LAFD) firefighters battling a major fire in the downtown Arts district.

According to a report, it took 186 firefighters nearly three hours to fully extinguish the flames that consumed Payman Fabric, a wholesale fabric firm that occupied a 10,360 square-foot, single-story building.

LAFD’s constant rotations enabled crews to save two adjoining businesses. No civilians were injured, according to the report, but three LAFD members required medical care: two firefighters sustained injuries and another suffered heat exhaustion. None of the injuries were deemed life-threatening.
