Indianapolis Firefighter Dies After Contracting COVID-19

An Indianapolis (IN) firefighter has passed away after contracting the coronavirus, according to a report from the U.S. Fire Administration.

While on duty, Firefighter Gerald A. Brooks, 49, responded to numerous EMS calls. He subsequently contracted COVID-19 and passed away from the virus on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
