IAFF Media Contest
The 1981 International Association of Fire Fighters Media Awards Contest, honoring outstanding coverage of fire fighters by journalists and photographers, is directed at items published or broadcast between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31,1980. Entries must be sponsored by a local, state or provincial affiliate of the IAFF.
Prizes of up to $500 in six categories will be awarded to newspaper, radio and television reporters in the United States and Canada.
The categories are: best news or feature story or photograph in a newspaper or magazine with either over or under 100,000 circulation; best TV news or feature story and best radio editorial or public service message about fire fighting.
