Hydrocarbon Warning Card
A law requiring vehicles to carry a placard on the left side of the rear bumper when carrying hydrocarbon gas has been in effect in New York State since Jan. 1. Included in the hydrocarbon category are LPG and compressed natural gas. The Department of Motor Vehicles felt that the warning was necessary to fire fighters’ safety should the vehicle be involved in an accident.
