Cameron Park, CA – Hundreds of tickets have been sold to community members eager to attend the Beracuda Benefit this Saturday, June 26th starting at 4 pm at the Holy Trinity Church Parish Center in El Dorado Hills.
The Beracuda Benefit promises to be a fun-filled evening of delicious food, exciting live entertainment and an impressive array of more than 300 live and silent auction items. Money raised at the Beracuda Benefit will go to a local firefighter diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.
Among the spectacular array of auction items are the following: an overnight stay in Napa with a ride on the wine train and a gourmet dinner; a spa day; a two-night stay in Mendocino with a day of golf, breakfast and dinner, and a VIP wine tour; Kings jersey autographed by basketball star Mike Bibby; a day on a racing sailboat; a week at an oceanfront condominium in Maui; a $1,000 credit toward an estate plan; and a magnum of Frog’s Leap wine autographed by the wine maker.
Matt Bera, a Sacramento City Firefighter/Paramedic and father of three children, was recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Desmoplastic Small Cell Round Tumor (DSCRT). There are few effective treatment options to combat this type of cancer, and a positive outcome is based upon 100 percent removal of the tumors.
Money raised at the Beracuda Benefit will be used for current and future expenses associated with Matt’s condition. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a charitable foundation of Matt’s choosing.
Tickets will be sold at the door. To buy tickets before the Beracuda Benefit, or for more information about the benefit, please go to www.firefightersagainstcancer.com.
