Hamilton (ON) Firefighters Battle Large Fire in Town Houses

Town house fire in Hamilton, Ontario

Hamilton (Ontario, Canada) firefighters responded to a multiple-alarm fire that burned through several town houses earlier today.

According to a post from the department’s Twitter account, the fire affected at least 11 units, with crews facing heavy fire in some of the units.

According to Global News, Chief Dave Cunliffe told reporters that there were no injuries from the wind-driven fire.

Cunliffe said the end unit of a block of three town houses was fully engulfed when crews arrived around 3:00 a.m. Winds reportedly caused the fire to spread to a second block that contained eight units.
