GA Firefighter Dies After Contracting COVID-19

A Georgia firefighter passed away earlier this month after contracting COVID-19, according to the U.S. Fire Administration.

While on duty, with the Forest Park (GA) Fire and Emergency Services, Firefighter/Paramedic John Clay Gaddy contracted COVID-19 at the fire station in August. He passed away from the virus on Thursday, September 2, 2021. Firefighter/Paramedic Gaddy was posthumously promoted to Deputy Fire Marshal.

Deputy Fire Marshal Gaddy was 48 years old.
