FL Firefighters Rescue Four from Fire in Abandoned Hotel

According to a report from WESH2, crews with the Orlando (FL) Fire Department (OFD) rescued at least four people from a fire at an abandoned hotel Thursday morning.

The OFD responded to the former I-Drive Grand, which has been shut down for several years. No injuries were reported.

One of the rescued said he and others were living there when flames erupted overnight in multiple spots in the area including a shut-down Ponderosa restaurant and another in a dumpster.

Investigators have yet to indicate the fires were connected.
