FL Firefighter Dies of Heart Attack Following Shift

The U.S. Fire Administration issued a notification on the death of a firefighter with the Hollywood (FL) Fire & Rescue & Beach Safety.

On Sunday, June 5, 2022, Driver/Engineer Christopher Allen, 58, left the fire station after working a 48-hour shift in which he responded to numerous calls doing reconnaissance for the fire department.

At approximately 3:30 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 2022, while at home, Driver/Engineer Allen was not feeling well. 911 was called and he was immediately transported to the hospital where he passed away from a heart attack a short time later.
