The U.S. Fire Administration had information on the death of a Florida firefighter who died after being injured on the job.
On Thursday June 30, 2022, Apopka Firefighter/EMT Austin Duran, 25, and another firefighter were moving a sand trailer to another fire station. In the process of hooking it up, the trailer fell, pinning down Firefighter/EMT Duran. He was immediately taken to the hospital where he remained in the Intensive Care Unit until his passing on Friday, July 15, 2022.
