Firefighters have a day to call their own
The country’s firefighters were honored last month, as the House of Representatives designated November 12 as National Firefighter’s Day. The commemorative day was established to recognize firefighters for their bravery, selflessness, and dedication.
Next year, plans call for the day to fall during National Fire Prevention Week, enabling communities to honor their firefighters when activities focus on the fire service.
