Firefighter Removes 100K Bees from Wisconsin Home

A specially trained Fond du Lac (WI) firefighter helped remove about 100,000 bees from a maple tree near a couple’s home.

Alfred and Rosalie Otto contacted authorities after noticing the swarm of bees had temporarily taken up residence in a tree near their home, according to a report from fdlreporter.com (http://fondul.ac/1mh7B52).

Lt. Todd Shippee of the Fond du Lac Fire Department, who is also a beekeeper, removed the bees and relocated them. No was stung in the process, according to the report.
