In Case You Missed It: Recent Major Fire Service News

Some significant incidents in the U.S. fire service this week, including a huge fire that ravaged an Edgewater (NJ) apartment complex and a mansion fire in Maryland that resulted in multiple deaths. In Southern California, a young mother died a day after a condo fire that killed her son.

In terms of fire service history, we remember this week the death of Lutherville (MD) Firefighter Mark Falkenhan (see John Shafer, “Close the Door!”) as well as the devastating Black Sunday fire in New York City (see Lance Peeples, “Never Forget Them or Their Lessons”).
